Niche Marketing Movement by Bobby WalkerIf you are a marketing veteran or just beginning, you have seen the words "Niche Marketing" mentioned a time or two. Internet Marketers are diverting their attention from trying to sell their products to each other and start selling products to people who really want to buy them. Because of "market saturation" and "script immunity" it is becoming very difficult to sell your product or get your message across to other internet marketers. How many times have you looked at your email and just started deleting messages based on what the headlines read? What about all the sales scripts that you read every day while you are yawning? Sure, every once in a while you find something that will peak your interest, but 9 times out of 10 you are clicking to another site. Internet Marketers don't want to buy your products, they just want to sell their own! Why is that? People who are promoting their products always think that their products are the best, so they pay no attention when something really great passes their way. And what makes it snowball is the fact that almost everyone has the same mindset! Try this tomorrow, stop and examine at least 25 opportunities and products that people are selling, it may be something you really need for your business. As internet marketers, we have become immune to what we see on a daily basis, thus decreasing the effects of our business advertising. The one really great thing that has come out of this, is now we have the very best long form sales letter anywhere! If we are still selling our products to other internet marketers who have seen everything, imagine what you could do with that same sales letter when you put it in front of a gardener, hiker, mountain biker, or anyone who has never seen that type of advertising? You are bound to make money as long as you have done your homework to make sure that you have a viable market. Does your market have between 30,000 and 100,000 searches every month? Does your market have their own magazine publication? Are they passionate about what they are doing? Let me ask you a question? What would happen if you put yourself in front of a moving train and stayed on the tracks? That's right, you would get run over. Now, what would happen if you put yourself in front of thousands of customers wanting software to write a children's book and you had the software? That's right, you will get run over.......with sales!! Why are you putting forth all the effort to market your products to other internet marketers? Think about how many sales you could make if you made the same effort marketing your new product to turkey farmers? These are obviously just examples, I'm just trying to make my point. There is still a ton of money to be made on the internet, and it can be done much more effectively in markets other than our own. Am I saying there is no money to be made marketing to other marketers? No, there absolutely is, but you can't grab the first product you see, spend money doing promotion, and expect to have 30 email payment confirmations in your inbox tomorrow morning! Your product must be centered around the industries needs, not what you think will sell. That is working your business backwards. Would you buy basketballs and try to sell them to football teams? No, because that would be stupid! So don't buy the resell rights to an ebook on how to make a gazillion dollars on the internet and expect to make millions, unless you are Corey Rudl. I can give you a great example of a product that every business needs. How many of you have tried to use Google Adwords? It can be very frustrating your first time using it. It actually takes a lot of trial and error, and a lot of money to experiment with. It is also one of the cheapest and most effective forms of advertising if you know how to do it. That's why I starting selling a course on how to beat the Google Adwords system. It's not really a product that I wanted to sell, until I started my own Google campaign, and saw what a pain in the butt it was! But I did some research on advertising, and found that this course is a very viable market to promote. In my opinion, it is a superior product compared to others. So, to sum everything up, do your research, pick your product according to the market, put yourself in front of your customer, make your niche in the marketplace, and make money with the products you promote. I'm sure it won't take long for the "Niche Marketing" craze to start making waves, just make sure you have a surfboard when it does!
